Organic taste is really important to us a the Cake Factory. All of our cakes are individually baked fresh and prepared with care, attention to detail and great deals with no added preservatives to give an authentic taste. We can also cater ingredients especially to your dietary needs and tastes for the perfect personal touch. All of our food handlers have passed a Level 2 Hygiene Certificate course.
Our Sponge cakes are made with real butter which gives a delicate buttery after-taster with each bite. The Vanilla Sponge is made with vanilla bean paste which gives an intense flavour and the ‘flecking’ gives a gourmet appeal.
With our rich fruit cakes, you will find a mixture of dried fruit including luxury dried fruits like Lexia raisins and Australian sultanas. We prepare the fruit by soaking it in Oloroso cream sherry before baking for an extra edge to the flavour. The cake will then be infused with Remy Martin’s brandy with a hint of Cream sherry during the maturing period. White almond paste and Sugar paste/Royal Icing are used to cover fruit cakes.
We look for only the best conserves and curds for our our cakes and all Buttercream is made with real butter!
Only Free-range eggs are used in our cakes & bakes. In 2015, we were delighted to be awarded the 'Good Egg Award' by Compassion in World Farming in recognition of our commitment to farm animal welfare. We believe that the best eggs make the best cakes!
